Chemical
COSHH guidelines state that chemical storage units need to be well ventilated; and ensuring flammable substances are safe should be at the forefront of your mind.
ATEX fans are the ideal option when working in hazardous environments, as they can operate safely in an explosive atmosphere, such as firms in the chemical industry.
Automotive
We can provide industrial fans for a range of applications, including air makeup systems, general roof ventilators, oven exhausts, spray booth exhausts and man coolers.
Marine
For companies and organisations in the marine industry, industrial fans used are required to meet API, Lloyd Above and Below Desk, and Shell DEP standards. In order to withstand the salt environment, industrial fans must be constructed from stainless steel, finished off with specialist marine paints.
Oil & Gas
The production of petroleum and natural gases have increased in recent years, with industrial fans playing a part in the treatment processes for oil and gases.
Fans and blowers operating in the oil and gas industry must have welded flanges and components to ensure resistance and reliability, even if in the harshest environment and most severe conditions.
Power Generation
Forced draft, induced draft and dust control fans all feature in power generation applications, with industrial fans needing to be able to operate effectively at extremely high temperatures. In order to do this, fans must undergo special construction features, and have heat-resistant paint finishes: both of which we do at Woodcock & Wilson.
Nuclear
We understand the requirements needed for fans operating in nuclear environments. Our gas-tight fans are designed for hazardous nuclear extraction ventilation applications, and can be used in toxic, radioactive and corrosive ventilation systems.
Specialist paints may also be applied internally and externally to comply with BS 4247 Part 1: Test A of the AECP 1054 Standard for Ventilation of Radioactive Areas.
